Terms and conditions

  1. The Promoter of the Competition is Sportsdirect.com Retail Limited whose registered office is at Unit A Brook Park East, Shirebrook, NG20 8RY (the Promoter).
  2. The Competition elements and the Prizes are as follows:
    • A. The Matchday Experience – A select number of schools will have the opportunity to attend and play at a pro-football experience at a professional ground. Schools will need to submit a photo or video showing the scale of their monster kickabout celebration to submissions@monsterkickabout.com. A judging panel will select the schools who have won the pro-football experience. Separate terms for the winners of this element will be communicated nearer the time of the matchday experience;
    • B. Design your own kit – schools can design their own kit (shirt, shorts and socks) and submit their design to submissions@monsterkickabout.com. The winning kit will be produced by the Promotor and sent to the winning school, further details regarding quantities and delivery will be communicated with the chosen winning school;
    • C. Design your own mascot – schools can also design their own mascot and submit their design to submissions@monsterkickabout.com. The winner will have their design turned into the official mascot of Monster Kickabout for 2022 and the mascot will also visit the winning school. Further details regarding this will be communicated with the chosen winning school.
  3. The Competition window is as follows:
    Applications between: June 28th 2021 and July 7th 2021 Selection between: July 8th 2021 and July 14th 2021 Matchday experience between: September 2021
  4. Entrants to this Competition must be by persons aged 18 or above who work in a school as a teacher or other professional, acting on behalf of and with the authority of the relevant primary, junior or secondary school based in England.
  5. Entrants entering on behalf of their school. must do so on the following website www.monsterkickabout.com entrants will be checked to ensure they are a teacher at a valid school.
  6. Entries for competitions A-C, will need to be made by submitting an email with entry images/videos (no longer than one minute long) to submissions@monsterkickabout.com. Separate emails for each competition are encouraged. In the subject header please specify your name, school and the competition element that your email relates to. Schools are welcome to enter any or all the competition elements.
  7. Once we have verified your school's entry, you will be sent a confirmation email confirming acceptance.
  8. The Promoter is in no way responsible for any injuries that may occur from involvement in the competition.
  9. If you sign up, but do not submit any entries by email on behalf of your school, you will not be included in the judging and therefore will not be eligible for any of the Prizes.
  10. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Competition.
  11. Only one entry is permitted per school.
  12. The winner for each competition element will be selected by a panel of sports professionals based on creativity, scale, uniqueness and relevance to Football.
  13. The winners for each competition element will be contacted by email to the registered email address used when signing up for the competition.
  14. The winner must contact the Promoter within 2 working days of notification to confirm:
    • A. they accept the Prize and these terms and conditions; and
    • B. to arrange the next steps regarding the redemption of the relevant Prize.
  15. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not provide confirmation as set out above, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to decide whether to select a replacement winner or not.
  16. Any personal data of the entrant or any other entrants collected by the Promoter will be used solely in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy. We will only collect the data of the entrant and the email address used to apply, and the images/videos relating to any entry.
  17. All entrants consent to the sharing of any entry image or video on the Promotor’s social media pages to advertise and promote the Monster Kickabout. Schools must ensure they have full parental consent for the submission of the entry images/videos of the children involved (and any adult involved) and also for use on the Promotor’s social media pages.
  18. By entering this Competition or any element of it, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement for them and their school to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  19. The decision made by the panel and selection of the Winners is final.
  20. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.
  21. Employees and agents of Promotor and its group companies are not eligible to participate in this Competition.
  22. The Promoter may cancel the Competition or any element of it by giving notice on the website referred to above.
  23. The Promoter accepts no liability for cancellation of the Competition or any element of it.
  24. No cash or alternative Prize or compensation will be offered in the case of cancellation of the Competition or any element of it.

  26. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
